Hello! Over the next 5 (or so) years my company will be planting 50,000 trees in the north east of England.
To support this we have launched a new website... thelogblog.co.uk ... this will be used to keep everyone up-to-date with the goings on in the woodland. We will also post environment related articles here as well (have a look and email me if you want to contribute).
It is hoped that when the trees start to grow they will remove 1 million kilos of CO2 each year from the atmosphere.
Please add me as a friend if you are interested and want to receive updates about the project. Thanks Rich :-)

Over 1 billion people in 2008 will interact with the internet in a language that isn't English. As internet use in the US and UK becomes saturated and the phenomenal growth of new markets will mean that the majority of transactions conducted on the net will be done by people using Non-English languages.

Over half a million people speak Welsh every day. Since the Welsh Language Act (1993) the language is fully supported by the UK Government, public services and large businesses operating in Wales.

The world's oldest tree found in Sweden is thought to be almost 10,000 years old. That's older than known human civilisation.

Excellent blog from one of the top training instuctors who uses the kettlebell (or girya) system of weights. These are used in the states at the moment (all the top athletes are using them) and are about to be huge in the UK/EU this year...

New page about the Giant Otter of South America. It is very close to extinction due in part to the de-forestation of the South American rain forests.
Each month we will be highlighting one endangered species. Comments are always welcome. Rich.

If you love trees then you need to read this. Contains facts about our development/evolution in partnership with the trees, for instance did you know that aspirin was originally derived from Willow bark?
from the article: 'The next time you walk in a forest, make sure to remember everything that forest does for you-and be thankful for it!'
